Ester of Montanic Acids
Montanic Acid Esters are prepared from Montan Wax. montan Wax is a naturally occuring wax derived from specifically selected lignite deposits. It ispurified and quality is closely controlled to ensure it is optimised for use in cosmetic products. The esters are used to give a pleasant "pay off" of product most commonly in lipstick and lipgloss style products where they impart a 'silky' feel.
Equisetum Arvense Extract (Horsetail)
Holding a long ancestry to the fern, Horestail is used for its high potency of silica, vital in producing skin collagen and maintining the elasticity of the skin. Horsetail further assists in the softening and smoothing of the skin.
Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax
Obtained from the Euphorbia Cerifera which grows in North Central Mexico and Texas is a wax like susbtance. Candelilla wax is used to prevent formulations from separating into oil/liquid forms. It increases the viscosity of a formulation allowing for smooth application.
Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract (Acai)
Discovered in the rain forests of the Brazillian Amazon, the Acai berry has 10 times the anti-oxidant potency of grapes and even twice that of blueberries. Enriched with phytonutrients, the Acai extract helps preserve collagen in the skin, to promote a healthy complexion.
