I’m sure you’ve all heard of the term superfoods. It has become a household name and you’ve probably eaten something from this group this past week - I know I have (hello, kale salad!).
As the name suggests, superfoods contain extremely high levels of antioxidants that help to keep your body and skin looking youthful. To put it simply, superfoods help prevent any further damage to the skin and body. And we’re all searching for age-defying beauty tricks, right?
But did you know you don’t have to just eat superfoods to reap their beauty benefits? In fact, they can be applied to your skin to give the same results.
It’s called superfood skincare and yep, that’s where my latest addition to my skincare range has come into play.
Meet Sukin’s newest addition to the superfood family, the Nourishing Chia Seed Oil + and the latest addition my nightly skincare routine.
Chia Seeds are a big part of my daily diet, I eat chia puddings most mornings. Not only are they are super delicious and filling, but they are also jam-packed with high levels of Omega 3s and 6s. What does this mean exactly? Omega 3’s and 6’s are responsible for keeping my skin plump, dewy and super youthful looking. And it goes without saying that applying Chia Seed Oil to the skin shares the same principles. So it’s no surprise I love this product as it keeps my complexion looking clear and radiant (and not just because we share the same surname -Chia/Cheah…close enough haha!).
So I may as well be a walking Chia Seed with the amount that I consume, but in all honesty superfood skincare is the way of the future. What you put on your skin should be treated in the same way as what you would put in your belly. And with the addition of Sukin’s latest Chia Seed Oil, I can now say I’m one very proud superfood skincare owner.
