Sukin's Party Season Survival Guide

The festive season is just around the corner, and with it will come celebrating, indulging and perhaps a lot less sleep than you would usually get.
It’s a lot of fun but after a few weeks, can start to show in your skin as the eating, drinking and partying all take their toll. You may have less time for your skincare, or perhaps you haven’t made adjustments to your routine to allow that extra care to combat the effects of your ramped up social calendar.
Our guess is that some of you may not know exactly what you can do to keep your skin glowing and healthy during the busy party season, so below we take you through our brief skin survival guide to last the festive period.

Tip 1#

Your Inner Health – Your skin is a window to what’s happening underneath. Healthy body means healthy skin and because of this, you should be looking to up your water, green leafy vegetables and vitamin intake on the days you are not indulging. Salty foods and alcoholic drinks can really dry out your skin, so it’s important that you keep your hydration levels high to combat any fine lines forming. But for those extraordinarily keen social butterflies who don’t have time to prep healthy food, you can always switch your skincare around to get that additional dose of nutrients.

We recommend: Sukin Super Greens Facial Recovery Serum.

Tip #2

Take a little extra care – It’s a great opportunity to take fifteen minutes to look after yourself and your skin. We would recommend adding a masque or serum at this time to boost the amount of nutrients you are giving your skin. Clay masques are a sure fire way to remove any congestion or toxins in the pores, while also providing potent doses of hydration, vitamins and antioxidants to keep the skin cells functioning optimally.

Why not try: Sukin Purifying Facial Masque, Sukin Super Greens Detoxifying Facial Masque

Tip #3

Let your skin breathe – Let’s face it, it’s really nice to get dressed up and spend time making ourselves look and feel good. For women especially, more socialising will often mean more makeup and that means our skin is more regularly exposed to congestion, and ingredients that don’t necessarily benefit the skin. We recommend letting your skin breathe when you have the chance.

Try going makeup free for a day or so in between your celebrating. Allowing the skin cells to rest and recharge is so important to skin health.
Double cleanse if you’re wearing a lot of makeup to ensure your skin is extra clean. Start with Sukin Micellar Cleansing Water to remove all surface makeup, then follow with your favourite Sukin cream or foaming cleanser to remove the rest and leave your skin feeling fresh.

Tip #4

Take your skincare with you – multi - purpose products are so wonderful for maintaining skin health. Keep a good lip balm/treatment with you and something like our Hydrating Mist Toner to spritz your skin whilst you are out.

The above is just a brief run-down of things you can do to keep your skin in tip top shape during the festive period, but if you have more suggestions, please comment below.

Most importantly we want you to have fun, take care and enjoy yourselves this December.
